Sunday, 10:00 – 11:30 AM ET: Mar. 8, 15, 29, Apr. 5, 12
Course Goals: We will take a deep dive into the expressionist prose of Shaye Shpigl (Jeszajahu Szpigel) and read a couple of his postwar short stories about the Łódź ghetto. Students will record themselves reading and in that way create a collective audio book. In class, we will read excerpts and discuss the stories in depth.
Course Tools: Volumes of prose by Yeshaye Shpigl that are available as free downloads through the Yiddish Book Center.
