Dates & Time
Monday 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM ET
July 6, 13, 20, 27, August 10
Course Goals
Take your Yiddish to the next level in this dynamic, practice-oriented course focused on sentence building and syntax. We will explore how to construct clear, natural Yiddish sentences, moving from foundational patterns to more complex structures. Along the way, we will tackle common challenges such as word order, subordinate clauses, and different sentence types.
This course places a strong emphasis on active use of the language. Through a wide range of guided exercises, you will practice translating and writing increasingly complex sentences and short texts in Yiddish, helping you internalize grammatical structures and gain fluency.
Location
All classes are held online. Information on how to join your class will be sent separately.
Additional Information
Students who attended last year’s Yiddish syntax course are warmly invited to join: this is a great opportunity to refresh key concepts while working with new materials and engaging in fresh, hands-on practice.
