DAYTIME EXPERIENCE: A SPOOKTACULAR DAY IN JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT BETTY'S BIZTOWN AND JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT FINANCE PARK
Grades 4 through 11 | 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM | $20 per student

Junior Achievement of Nevada invites students to a special one day experience designed for students whose schools may not currently offer access to Junior Achievement programs. In one blended day, students will experience both Junior Achievement Betty's BizTown and Junior Achievement Finance Park, two hands on simulations where they step into adult roles and apply classroom learning to real world situations.

In Junior Achievement Betty's BizTown, students explore what it means to be part of a community by running businesses, managing money, making financial decisions, and working as a team.

In Junior Achievement Finance Park, students step into a life scenario that includes a career, salary, family size, student loans, and credit score, then build a monthly budget that covers real expenses like housing, transportation, groceries, and insurance.

Key skills students will build:
- Financial literacy: using debit cards, writing checks, and managing a budget
- Understanding credit, debt, and savings
- Work readiness: applying for jobs, time management, and understanding career roles
- Exploring careers and how income affects lifestyle
- Entrepreneurship: operating storefronts, marketing products, and providing customer service
- Making informed spending decisions and tradeoffs
- Civic engagement: understanding how local government and community businesses work together

The Halloween twist:
- Trick or treating through the storefronts
- Halloween themed games and financial challenges
- Fun, interactive activities that bring career exploration to life
- An immersive simulation where students act as CEOs, CFOs, radio DJs, mayors, and more

Costumes: Students are welcome to wear non scary, school appropriate costumes. Masks and full face coverings are not allowed for safety.

Lunch: Bring your own lunch, or add a provided lunch for an additional $10.
