About This Event

Welcome to the Palm Beach Atlantic University 2022 Young Artist Competition! We support the preservation of the arts by providing 15 young pianists with opportunities to win scholarships, performance prizes, participate in masterclasses and gain valuable experience.

Applications & pre-screening materials are due February 11, 2022.

Prescreening Repertoire

Below please list the title of the work including catalog information (e.g. BWV, Op, K., etc), composer, and movements (if applicable). All pre-screening videos should be submitted as a Youtube link. If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Joseph Kingma at joseph_kingma@pba.edu

Final Round Repertoire

If selected as a finalist, you will be required to perform by memory (1) a prelude and fugue by Bach or two contrasting movements from a suite by Bach; (2) a fast movement from a sonata by Haydn, Mozart, or Beethoven (no repeats); (3) a substantial work from the Romantic period. Each finalist will have 15 minutes to perform.
