Winter 2026 Youth Bowling League

About This Event

Our winter 2026 youth league, for kids in grades 2 and up, will run for 8 Sundays starting January 11th at 2:00pm at Fair Oaks Lanes.  Please note that due to the holiday and long weekend, we will not be bowling on January 18th.  The last regular day of bowling will be March 8th, followed by the end of the year party on March 15th.

The cost for the 8 week season is $175.  An early bird discount of $10 will be available until mindnight on December 19th.  A discounted weekly $2 shoe rental fee is not included in this cost.  $16 cash will be collected from each player on the first day of the league to cover the entire session if a player does not own their own bowling shoes.

Please try to attend each week, but if you do need to miss you will be allowed to make up the missed games within a certain time period and on certain days and times determined by the bowling center and league administration.  More details will be provided about this later.  There are no refunds for missed sessions that are not made up.

We will be playing 3 games per session.  The top 2 games for each bowler will be used to formulate their average and handicap.

Each session to last approximately 2 hours.  Kids will be placed on teams of 3 or 4, based on their age. You may request your child be on a team with a friend, and we will do our best to make that happen, but we cannot make any guarantees. For the best chances of being with your friends, try to put together a group of 3-4 kids of similar ages, and note who they'd like to be with during registration.  The number of kids per team and estimated time length of each session are subject to change depending on number of registrants.

Bumpers will not be used for any age group in this league. We will also discourage the "walk up to the line and throw the ball between your legs" style bowling.   If your child would enjoy their time more by using bumpers, you may want to consider signing up for one of our parent/child pair leagues.

Coaching and playing advice will be provided, but please remember that our coaches are just parents who enjoy the sport, and are not professional bowlers.

We are looking for volunteers to help make the league successful. Please consider signing up to help us at PYCC's volunteer portal, or send an email to bowling@qvbowling.org.

If you have any questions, please email bowling@qvbowling.org before registering.

P.S.- When you're processing your registration, we would suggest that you create an acccount on our new registration system when prompted.  This way you don't have to reenter all your information each time you sign up for one of PYCC's events, plus you can see your history.
