About This Event

April's Theme: 'How to Stay Safe Around Dogs'

Kick off National Dog Bite Prevention Week with this fun and educational program for the whole family!

Through family games, activities and hands-on learning, we'll:

  • Learn all about how dogs communicate with 'signs and signals' that keep us humans safe
  • Practice ways to stay safe when encountering a loose or lost dog
  • Discover the best ways to interact with our family's and friends' dogs
  • Enjoy special interaction with some of our Certified Therapy Dogs
  • Participate in an educational shelter tour of our adoptable animal areas

Registration is required. A parent/guardian must be in attendance. Family Members include all guests age 3 and over. Children age 2 and under are free.
