Martha Papson Garcia, Ed.D., MBA, M.A.

Martha serves as the Director of Veterans Services at Fairleigh Dickinson University, where she is dedicated to helping veterans and military-connected students navigate the transition to college life, thrive academically, and reach their graduation goals. Under her leadership and relentless advocacy, FDU has been recognized as the #1 Military Friendly Private University in New Jersey — a distinction that reflects both the university’s commitment to service members and Martha’s refusal to accept “good enough” when it comes to student support.

Susanne Williamson

Major (Ret.) Susanne Williamson dedicated 20 years of distinguished service to the United States Army, combining seven years of active-duty components with an extensive tenure in the New Jersey Army National Guard. During her active-duty service, Major Williamson was stationed in Stuttgart, Germany, where she served as a specialized drug and alcohol counselor. In 1994, she graduated from Officer Candidate School in Sea Girt, New Jersey, subsequently transitioning into logistics. Throughout her military career, she deployed twice in support of major global operations: Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm (1990–1991) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (2008–2009). She retired from military service in March 2014 at the rank of Major.

Catherine Gutierrez 

Catherine is a proud United States Marine Corps Combat Veteran, advocate, and community leader dedicated to serving veterans in need. During her military service, she completed two deployments to Iraq, experiences that strengthened her commitment to supporting fellow veterans as they transition from military to civilian life.

Drawing from both her military and professional experiences, Catherine has dedicated her career to helping veterans through housing assistance, outreach, case management, and community advocacy.
