Important Information

Pre-Registration will be accepted until 8 am (CST) Saturday, September 27, 2014. Only those who register by Wednesday, September 10, 2014 will be guaranteed a

Donations must arrive in the office no later than NOON (CST) on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 to qualify for the Top 5 Fundraisers.

Please consider donating a basket for this year's silent auction.

Walk Information

This year the walk will start 1 hour earlier! Please arrive at 9:30 am for registration.

Team Captains may pick up all team shirts on Thursday, September 25 between 5 pm-8 pm or
Friday, September 26, 2014 
from 9 am-7 pm.

Please call ahead (414-327-3729) so that we can prepare for you! DSAW is located in the Marion Center, 3211 S Lake Drive, Suite 113, Saint Francis, WI 53235.

 Milwaukee County Zoo

Registration includes admission to the zoo, free parking and lunch. 

(Be sure to mention you are participating in the Down Syndrome Awareness Walk to Zoo Parking Attendants.)

9:30 am Walk Registration and Check-In

Registration and Check-In starts at 9:30 am at the Maple Grove and Oak Grove picnic areas.

Please designate ONE PERSON ONLY from your team to check in at Registration, turn in all money, and pick up all t-shirts.

9:30 am-12:25 pm Lunch and Pre-Walk Activities
Food, DJ, Crafts, Tattoos and Face Painting. Raffle and Silent Auction, Resource Tent, visits from your favorite mascots and much more!

12:00 pm Pre-Walk Rally and Awards Ceremony

Led by the Down Syndrome Awareness Walk Ambassador and Master of Ceremonies, Vince Vitrano, Today's TMJ4 Morning News Anchor.

12:15 pm Walk Begins 

(Approximately 1.5 mile leisurely stroll through the Milwaukee County Zoo)

The Awareness Walk is designed to help raise funds, AND to help raise awareness and promote inclusion, diversity and acceptance of Down syndrome, as well as, strive to guarantee access to a full life for all individuals with Down syndrome, their families and friends.  Please join us for a family-friendly, fun-filled day!
