Dear Friends:
As you know, I have become very active in working with teachers and schools in teaching children about key life skills in financial literacy. Given the economic uncertainties and cost-of-living crisis gripping families and communities, financial literacy education couldn’t be more important.
This year, I have the chance to step into the shoes of a math teacher for the day and to actually teach the program I created myself. I will also have the opportunity to see first-hand the challenges public school teachers face in trying to provide the best education possible for all students. The funds that I raise will go to support the very impressive Hamza Guelida, Grade 5 Math and Science, Kensington Park Elementary in Little Havana and other teachers and students in the Miami-Dade public schools.
Help me make an impact in the community!
Support me as I participate in The Education Fund’s Teach-A-Thon. You can learn more about the work of The Education Fund at www.educationfund.org.
Please know that your tax-deductible donation (as allowable by law) is an investment in our children’s future. Thank you, in advance, for supporting me!
I promise to let you know my results, assuming I ‘survive’ my day in the classroom.
