10 More Years

Thank you for visiting our 10 More Years campaign. We hope you will be inspired to support our mission, and share it with others in the Chicago community and beyond. 

Above and Beyond Family Recovery Center was founded 10 years ago in order to redefine recovery. The vision was to create a more dignified, more innovative and more effective model for addressing addiction and overall poor health outcomes for disinvested communities on the West Side. Strategically placed in East Garfield Park--a neighborhood with the highest overdose mortality rate in Chicago and yet the fewest resources--we have built a model that empowers struggling individuals with the skills and self-love to thrive in the longterm. We help people reach their true potential and recover who they were meant to be before addiction, homelessness, incarceration and other difficult and unfair circumtances robbed them of their birthright for happiness and fulfillment. 

We believe that raising the standard of care for the city's most vulnerable is the most important work to be done in Chicago. Your donation will help us:

-Continue to add evidence-based treatment and recovery supports to our diverse roster of offerings

-Build capacity to reach more individuals in need, especially the homeless 

-Validate our efforts with research so that we can share our findings with the world and help improve addiction treatment on a broader scale
