What is Women Build?
Women Build is a dynamic opportunity for women to come together, empower one another, and create lasting change in their community. This initiative provides hands-on building experience, equipping women with the tools and confidence to support other women and their families in achieving homeownership.
Bringing together women from diverse backgrounds, Women Build focuses on collaboration and impact. Throughout the year, the women of Pensacola Habitat for Humanity raise funds and construct at least one home for a family in the Pensacola Habitat Homebuyer Program.
During the process, participants gain valuable construction skills, build meaningful connections, and work alongside future homeowners to turn dreams of stability into reality. Women Build demonstrates the extraordinary power of women united in addressing the need for affordable housing and strengthening the foundation of our community.
How does it work?
Women Build teams and individuals collectively raise $175,000+
Individual members and each member of a fundraising team must have a minimum of $500 in their personal fundraising account -- to be eligible to build, receive an incentive award and attend the Women Build Celebration.
Participating builders schedule one day on the build site during Women Build build week!
Sponsorship Teams: The team's total sponsorship amount must equal at least $500 per team member, to be eligible to build or receive an incentive award and attend the Women Build Celebration. Reach out to our Director of Donor Relations, Olevia McNally to learn how to become a sponsor.
