FAQ

Do I have to pay to participate in the 12 Days of Giving Auction?

No! Even though you must enter a credit card to keep on file when you register, you can register, browse all of the auction items, and bid on the ones you like for FREE. If you have the winning bid on an item (fingers crossed!), then you will check out using the credit card on file to make your donation.

How do I register?

You can register in two ways, based on your preference: 1) Register using your computer's web browser 2) Register using the Givi app, which you can download from either the App Store or Google Play. Watch the videos below for a quick tutorial!

How will I receive my winning item(s)?

We will make it as easy as possible for you! You are welcome to pick up your items Monday - Friday (when school is in session) at one of our centers in Albany (80 Central Ave.) or Schenectady (962 Albany St.) - or at the Arts Center in Troy. Just give us a heads up as to what time you will be coming, so that we can have your item ready to go! If you need to have your item delivered, just reach out to Renee Kelly at rkelly@gcr.girls-inc.org to make arrangements.

How does the auction help Girls Inc. girls?

Your winning bid, or donation, is directed toward the unrestricted Annual Fund where the funds can be used immediately and where they are most needed. At Girls Inc., we pride ourselves on using resources responsibly - 82 cents of every $1 is directed to programming and the development of the whole girl. Your support will have a transformational impact by changing the life of a local girl; providing resources to expand Girls Inc. to the communities that need us; and moving us closer to a time when every girl can be strong, smart, and bold.
