Many of you know that I am the oldest of 5 children raised here in South Florida by my single mother, who immigrated to the US from Jordan. My family has known firsthand the effects of food insecurity.

Families facing hunger are often forced to make an impossible choice between food and other crucial needs such as electricity, childcare, or medicine. No parent or caregiver should ever have to make that choice, which is why I'm proud to support Mobile School Pantry (MSP) - an organization that has been tackling hunger by providing FRESH food distributions to children and families in public schools across South Florida since 2013. 

The NEXA Team aims to raise $50,000 in support of this years Gobble Giveaway. I'm proud to spearhead our efforts with a personal fundraising goal of $30,000.
