I'm not carrying this alone....

Hi! I’m Spence, and like all boys my age, I've had many challenges. What's helped me through for the past six years is Boys to Men Mentoring. They have been part of my community and has made a real difference in my life. The group has carried me through some tough times, and I want other boys—especially those starting out in 7th or 8th grade and having a rough time—to have that same support. I became a Journeyman about three years ago in order to help the next boy who needs a community behind him. The 100 Wave Challenge is this Saturday, and I’ll be paddling out with friends, Journeymen, mentors, and other San Diego leaders. I may not achieve surfing 100 Waves but I know it will help the next 100 Boys! Please help me and Boys to Men Foundation keep making a difference. Will you donate? Here's the link to my donor page. 100 Wave Challenge: Saturday, September 26, 2026

On Saturday, September 26, I'll be paddling out at Mission Beach to take on the 17th Annual 100 Wave Challenge in support of Boys to Men Mentoring.

The goal is simple: catch 100 waves in one day to help provide life-changing mentorship for boys across San Diego County. Every wave represents hope, resilience, and the power of showing up for the next generation.

Boys to Men Mentoring connects teenage boys with positive male mentors who help them build confidence, navigate life's challenges, and discover their potential. Together, they're creating a community where no young man has to face life alone.

If you've ever experienced the healing power of the ocean, you know how one good wave can change your whole day. Imagine what a caring mentor can do for a young person's life.
