On Saturday, September 26, I'll be paddling out at Mission Beach to take on the 17th Annual 100 Wave Challenge in support of Boys to Men Mentoring.
As you all know, I love to surf. This year for my eighth grade community project, I am going to put my surf skills towards raising money in the 100 Wave Challenge and The Boys to Men program. I chose this program because it helps young men without dads to find direction in life with a male role model. The money raised goes directly to school programs across San Diego to help guide kids without father figures. I am very grateful that I have a great dad in my life who has inspired me to become a good human and I want to help others who haven't had a similar childhood.
