Dear Sage Creek Families, Friends and Community,
I’m reaching out to ask for your help in continuing a program that is making a measurable difference in the lives of young men at Sage Creek High School.
This year, Sage Creek is joining the Boys to Men Mentoring 100 Wave Challenge as a school team with a goal of raising $7,500 to help keep the Boys to Men program on our campus.
Boys to Men provides our students with something incredibly valuable: a consistent group of trusted adult mentors and a safe space where young men can talk openly, build relationships, take accountability and receive the support they need to succeed.
And we are seeing the results.
Since participating in Boys to Men:
- Days of suspension have decreased by 72%, from 18 days before the program to just 5.
- Suspendable incidents have dropped by 77%, from 13 incidents to just 3.
- 42% of participating students have improved their GPAs, with the group's overall GPA increasing from 1.71 to 2.02.
- Two students earned enough credits to graduate early.
- 42% of students improved their attendance.
These aren't just numbers. They represent young men making better choices, spending more time in the classroom and building a stronger path toward graduation and their future.
Unfortunately, Sage Creek does not currently have the budget to continue funding the program on our own. That's why we're asking our community to rally behind these students.
Our goal is to raise $7,500 through the 100 Wave Challenge to help keep Boys to Men mentoring available at Sage Creek.
