On October 24, 2026, A Safe Place will host its annual Unmask the Violence Gala: Hope Lives Here, an evening dedicated to inspiring hope, celebrating resilience, and investing in a future free from violence.
Domestic violence affects thousands of individuals and families across Lake County each year, impacting people of every age, background, neighborhood, and socioeconomic status. Its effects reach far beyond the home, touching schools, workplaces, healthcare systems, and the community as a whole.
As the only organization in Lake County exclusively dedicated to serving survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking, A Safe Place provides life-saving services including emergency shelter, crisis intervention, counseling, legal advocacy, prevention education, and long-term support.
The Unmask the Violence Gala raises the essential funds needed to ensure survivors have access to safety, healing, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives.
