Our families journey with Epilepsy began in 2017, with the officially diagnosis coming in 2020 & a large "light-bulb" moment as we started to put things together. Alrick managed to reach the 1 year seizure free mark & in October 2021 we were talking with our neurologist about decreasing/stopping meds if he went another year seizure free. Unfortunately November 2021 that streak ended, but he was determined to keep fighting & in January 2022 he celebrated 1 month seizure free. He hasn't reached that milestone again but he is determined to not only reach 1 month, but also reach the 2 year mark he needs to try coming off of medication. He has earned the title of WARRIOR, as have 1 in 100 Canadian's who battle epilepsy every day. What he wants more than anything is to know why people get epilepsy & why seizures won't stay away, & that is why we are doing this fundraiser with Epilepsy Canada!
