For Athena
Athena is my older sister by only 13 months. She was diagnosed with epilepsy at 29. Five years later in 2024 at only 34, she passed away unexpectedly following a seizure. Despite the medications, fear and uncertainty, she never stopped living. She visited 46 countries—seven after her diagnosis—she held a degree in astrophysics, published scientific papers and won photography awards. She truly lived. I'm taking part in this challenge to raise money because Athena deserved answers and better treatments—and everyone living with epilepsy deserves the same chance to live as fully as she did.
