I’m moving 100 km in October to help raise money for epilepsy research, because I’m one of the one in 100 Canadians that deals with epilepsy everyday, and the unpredictability of it means that I don’t take for granted my ability to move 100 km now or in the future. I have spent most of my life active in multiple ways—hiking, horseback riding, dancing, going to the gym, and the dynamic nature of epilepsy and the fatigue that comes with my medications has been a huge adjustment. Raising awareness and money for epilepsy research and advocacy is something especially close to my heart, particularly as a performer, whose performing life has been affected by my diagnosis. So, please feel free to cheer me on as I dance, go to Pilates, and walk Ralph my way through 100 kilometres in October. And if you have the means, consider donating to Epilepsy Canada.
