In August 2025, at just 3.5 months postpartum with my first baby, I experienced a nocturnal tonic-clonic seizure. This event lead to the subsequent finding of a benign brain tumor, Dysembryoplastic Neuroepithelial Tumor (DNET), and being diagnosed with epilepsy. I am thankful to have only experienced the one seizure and hope that the medication I am on keeps them at bay. My family and I have learned so much about epilepsy over the past year & I would like to continue to spread awareness of the condition through this iniative!
