Kaiyah was 3 weeks old when she was diagnosed with epilepsy, following a neonatal stroke. She has never known a life without epilepsy. Through countless seizures, medications, EEGs, MRIs, appointments, hospital admissions and many moments of uncertainty the past 4 years, she continues to show us what strength truly looks like. Epilepsy is an invisible illness, and seizures don’t always look the way people expect. For Kaiyah and for so many others living with epilepsy, there is so much more to the condition than what people see. We’re taking on 100 km to raise awareness, support epilepsy research, and help build a future where children like Kaiyah have better treatments and hopefully one day, a cure. Most importantly, we want Kaiyah to know that she is never alone in this fight. 100km for our girl. 100 for Kaiyah.
