Walk to Stop the Clot® in memory of Ali Senser

Date: March 4, 2018
Time: 10:00 AM
Location:
Nova Southeastern University
3301 College Ave
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33314

Our beautiful and precious daughter and sister, Allison Bree, was born on December 17, 1980 in North Miami, Florida.  As she was known to so many of you, Ali Goldberg was a fellow classmate of Nova Southeastern University, Class of 1999.  Ali continued her education at Ithaca College and began her professional career in the field of marketing in New York.  An internship at NBC, was followed by her first job as a media buyer for MindShare.  By the time she left New York, she had also been employed by BET and Turner Broadcasting.

Ali married Andy and began married life in New Albany, Ohio.  She and Andy were just celebrating the birth of their third daughter, Jordyn, when the unthinkable happened.  Ali had suffered a pulmonary embolism less than 48 hours postpartum and had now, devastatingly, become a statistic. She passed away on March 2nd, 2016.

We have since become involved with the National Blood Clot Alliance, a voluntary health organization dedicated to advancing the prevention, early diagnosis and successful treatment of life-threatening blood clots such as deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, and clot-provoked stroke.  We’re eager to host the first Walk to Stop the Clot® in memory of Ali Senser at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 10:00 AM.  Please join us and bring your children, parents, friends, babies in strollers, pets on leashes, etc. as we walk, share, and reminisce about Ali, a very special 35 year old woman, whose life was cut too short just two years ago.

March is National Blood Clot Awareness Month – a perfect opportunity to honor the life of an extraordinarily loving and beautiful daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend whose presence is missed every single day.

Your charitable gift will help the National Blood Clot Alliance continue our life saving mission to advance prevention, early diagnosis and successful treatment of life-threatening blood clots such as deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, and clot-provoked stroke.

Together, we can save lives!
