HI!

My name is Bailey and I’m from a place called Egypt. I was rescued by an organization called Egyptian Society for Mercy to Animals. In Egypt dogs and cats are thrown out into the street when they are no longer wanted by their humans or they can’t make puppies anymore. ESMA rescued me and I got to fly in a plane from Germany all the way to America!

When I got to America I was taken to a place they called Cascades Humane Society. I was really sick so they took care of me. There was a lady who wanted me, but they told her I was too sick to go to a forever home, so she fostered me. Once I wasn’t sick anymore, she took me back to Cascades and they took me to the room that smells funny and I fell asleep. When I woke up, I felt different and like something was missing, but I didn’t care because the lady came back and took me back to the place that smelled like her and the other dog Widget (I guess he’s my brother – he likes to play sometimes, but when he’s done playing he is DONE playing!).

This lady I live with calls herself mama, so that’s what I call her now. I get to spend every day and night with mama and once a week, by brother Widget and I, get to go to this other lady’s house who we call grandma. She lets us sleep a lot and gives us treats. I like her a lot.

Mama told me that Cascades was trying to raise money to help other dogs like me find a forever home and take care of them until they do, so we went there and got our picture taken. Widget tried to be in the pictures too, but he couldn’t stop looking at mama so he didn’t get to be in the picture anymore.

So if you donate money, then I get votes so I can be in a calendar. I don’t know what that is, but I think humans use it so they know what they need to do each day – so silly. I know what I need to do everyday without looking at a thing hanging on the wall (eat, play, potty, sleep, lick myself – easy!).
