My name is Maple and I need your help to support the Cascades Humane Society by participating in the 2019 Pet Calendar contest. "Why," you ask? Well, let me tell you about my journey...

In 2016, I was rescued by Cascades Humane Society shortly after giving birth to puppies. I don't remember much of my life before this event, but I was scared and alone until CHS took me in and cared for me. Separated from my family, I wasn't sure what life had in store for me. Some strangers reminded me of traumatic events I can't quite remember, while others sparked hope in my heart. Days later, while "shopping" at PetSmart, I ran into a young man and his beautiful bride-to-be; it was love at first sight. My heart and tongue lost control as I knew this was meant to be. It didn't take long for the couple to take me home to my forever home with my new family.

Since joining my new family, I have had the opportunity to meet many of my fellow CHS alumni. We are incredibly grateful for our new homes and for everything CHS did to help us find them. To give back, it is my hope that we can raise $500 or more to support future furry friends in need and to use this calendar as a way to share my appreciation for your support. Whatever you're able to contribute,  just know that you supported the organization that helped me find my forever home. My heart and TONGUE are forever yours!
