Ride to Stop The Clot with Anna's Team

Date: Saturday, June 1, 2019
Times: 9:30 AM for 38 mile ride with yoga stretch at 8:50 AM ― 10:30 AM start time for 8 and 18 mile rides with yoga stretch at 9:50 AM
Loation: Meet at parking lot east of Alma College's Heritage Center
Anna Frutiger suffered a fatal deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism in 2010, just a month after her 23rd birthday.
Anna was not alone. Nearly one million people suffer a blood clot in the leg (deep vein thrombosis/DVT) or in the lungs (pulmonary embolism/PE) each year in the United States. As a result of these blood clots, we know that at least 100,000 Americans die each year. More simply, 274 people in the U.S. will die each day of a PE. On May 20, 2010, Anna was one of those 274 people.
Anna embodied brains, beauty, compassion, athleticism, and as such, seemed the picture of health while she was living her dream of becoming a dentist. No one expected that a blood clot would end her dream. Her story gets shared around the world every day. Her legacy lives on through her story. It continues to make an impact and save lives.
REGISTER NOW to be a part of the Ride to Stop the Clot for Anna's Team. There are options for an 8, 18 and 38 mile trail ride or a 4 mile mountain bike loop at Conservation Park/Sally's Trail (ride as many times as you'd like). There will be yoga stretches before the rides, post-ride massages available (courtesy of Muscle Mechanix), and lunch provided by Alma College. Plus prizes and drawings after the ride!
JOIN US at parking lot east of Alma College's Heritage Center on Alma College Campus. The Trail Ride will be on the Fred Meijer Heartland Trail. All rides out and back on the trail. Please contact Terry's Cycle at 989-463-5260 with any questions.
