2019 Diva Regatta

On May 4, 2019, WCSC will host our Annual Diva Regatta benefiting Safe Harbor. Over the last 7 years, this event has raised more than $33,000 for Safe Harbor. Last year our goal was $10,000, which got blown out of the water with a final number of $16,600.

We will have a Distance Course open to all boats with 2 fleets. One requiring a female at the helm and the other requiring a female participating on board. They will have the same start but will be scored separately. We will also have a Juniors Course. They will have their own separate course. After sailing, we will have raffles, appetizers, dinner and awards. New Addition: Appetizer Contest. Our Sailormen would like to have a contest for the best appetizer as well as host the social hour. Come with your appetites. Sunday we will have a brunch and for those who can stay and play, we will have additional sailing opportunties.

Diva Regatta will continue to have a goal of raising money for Safe Harbor. Safe Harbor is a private, 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping victims of domestic violence in the upstate of South Carolina. We offer a continuum of services, providing safe emergency shelter, counseling, assistance with orders of protection, and transitional housing, as well as teen dating violence education and community outreach in Greenville, Anderson, Pickens, and Oconee counties.
