This is Emma she is 5 and was diagnosed with epilepsy in May of 2017 before she was diagnosed I had noticed she was acting abnormal staring up at the ceiling and her eyes were rolling in the back of her head and her eyes were twitching it happened more then once so I made a Dr appointment with her primary Dr and that day of her Dr appointment I had mentioned to the Dr what was going on and I even had a video well the Dr had said oh that's normal for kids to just stare and I knew in my heart it wasn't right so I asked for a referral to a neurologist and so we went to the neurologist appointment and Emma had a what we didn't know then a seizure right in his office and so he said he wanted to do a EEG test done on her brain which is little electrodes glued on to your head and hooked up to a machine well we got that test done and got a very disturbing phone call a couple days later saying Emma has what they call absent seizures well she was put on medicine and she's had a some bumps in the road but we finally got her medicine right and has been seizure free since April 2019 Emma was born premature also weighed 2lbs stayed in the NICU for a month had a collapsed lung and a heart murmur she has had a rough start to life but she is a fighter also we are raising money for all the kids and anyone that suffers from epilepsy just like Emma
