Hi Everyone! Please help me to support the National Blood Clot Alliance and join me on a walk over the Brooklyn Bridge! Seven years ago I was lucky to survive a deep vein thrombosis that traveled to my heart and resulted in multiple pulmonary embolisms in both lungs. I was unaware of the risks of hormonal birth control until I ended up in the ICU on anticoagulant drugs trying to dissolve the clots in my lungs. Afterwards, I was scared and frustrated that I may have another clot. NBCA provides resources for people struggling with clotting disorders and works with communities and health care professionals to reduce the number of people affected by clots. They connect people with similar stories and provide a support network for friends and families of survivors and help pay tribute to those who were lost.
