“Every day holds the possibility of a miracle.” Hi family & friends! As many of us know, cancer has become an epidemic that has affected all of us in one way or another- whether directly, through our loved ones, or someone else that we have crossed paths with. Personally, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and is coming up at 4 years cancer free ??? As a daughter of a cancer survivor, I know the meaning of ‘when one person has cancer, the entire family does’. That’s what makes this organization so amazing - they are supporting not only the children who are so strong and resilient, but the families that are affected as well. These children have to overcome an obstacle that I would not wish on any adult, let alone children. As each day is a new beginning, I pray that these strong children can find the treatment that they need. Join Children's Cancer Connection's third annual IMT Des Moines Marathon team, #TeamCCC in support of hundreds of families affected by childhood cancer throughout the state of Iowa. Children's Cancer Connection provides families an opportunity to connect through family outings, hospital and clinic-based programs, and camps and retreats. These events are provided free of cost to families because of generous donors, volunteers and community partners. Help us, support some of the most deserving families in the state of Iowa through #TeamCCC! Runners will join thousands on October 21st in Des Moines Iowa, but will do so in memory and honor of our Children's Cancer Connection families.
