On June 11th, I will be participating in the 4th annual Whetstone 100 charity golf tournament. Proceeds raised from the tournament will be used to fund operation of the Whetstone Boys Ranch near Mountain View, MO. In a nut shell, the mission of Whetstone Boys Ranch is to “sharpen the character of young men” ages 13-17 who struggle with behavioral and social issues. I have visited with Brandon Maxwell (Co-Founder and Campus Supervisor of the Ranch) on several occasions and have been very impressed by his Christian character, passion, and genuine care for at risk young men. As you might imagine from what I’ve just said about Brandon, he and the team at Whetstone utilize Christian based therapy when ministering to these boys and their families. I have been a supporter of Whetstone Boys Ranch since I met Brandon a couple of years ago, and would like to ask you to do the same thing. There is no entry fee to play in the tournament. The idea behind this marathon golf outing is to raise support from individuals like you and I. Donations can be made per hole, or at a flat rate. Our goal is to complete 100 holes (2 man teams play 50 holes each) in one day.
