Event Registration

This year, Donut Run participants have the option to join us in-person for a socially-distant outdoor event on November 20th, or choose to do a virtual 5K and participate your own way on your own time!


In addition to making life better for kids with cancer, registration includes:

In-Person 5K:

  • Chip timing for runners

  • Participant t-shirt 

  • Finisher's medal (limited to first 500 registrants)

  • Munchkin stops along the course

  • Dunkin' finish line breakfast


In-Person Donut Dash (kids 5 & under):

  • Finisher's medal 

  • Dunkin' donut treat

  • Complimentary 5K participation with paid adult


Virtual 5K:

  • Participant t-shirt 

  • Finisher's medal (limited to first 500 registrants)

  • Dunkin' $5 Hot Card

  • Option to get at in-person packet pick-up or have it mailed


Online registration closes on Thursday, November 18th at 12:00pm.

Walk-up registration will be available during early packet pick-up and the morning of the event.

Please note that we do not offer refunds. We do provide consideration for our ASK families who need refund assistance.

Event Pricing

  • 5K Registration, In-Person Adult (15 & up): $35
  • Walk-up registration: $35
  • 5K Registration, In-Person Youth (14 & under): $30
  • Walk-up registration: $30
  • Kid's Donut Dash, In-Person (5 & under): $15
  • Virtual 5K Registration: $25
  • Packet will be picked up at the Packet Pick-Up on Friday, November 19th. 

  • Virtual 5K Registration - Mailed Packet: $35
  • Packet will be mailed to the address listed on registration form. Mailed packets may be received following the event.

Course Map & Parking

New for 2021, the event will be held at the Washington Football Team Bon Secours Training Center! The 5K course will start & end inside the facility grounds by the football field and is a loop route through the surrounding neighborhood. 

Ample parking is available at the training center parking lot and free street parking is available along Leigh Street and surrounding roads.

Race Day, Saturday, November 20th

  • 7:30am - Walk-up Registration and Packet Pick-Up Opens
  • 8:15am - Kid's Donut Dash
  • 8:30am - Fundraising Awards & Program
  • 9:00am - 5K Starts
  • 10:00am - Top Finisher Awards


Virtual 5K participants can run/walk/bike their 5K route any time and be sure to share on social media with #DonutRunRVA.


Gather your friends and family to join the #DonutRunRVA! Whether running or fundraising or both, the following awards and prizes will surely sweeten your day.

5K Awards (only available for in-person participants)

  • Top three overall male adult (15 & older)
  • Top three overall female adult (15 & older)
  • Top three overall male youth (14 & under)
  • Top three overall female youth (14 & under)
  • Top three fundraising teams
  • Top three fundraising individuals
  • Earn fundraising swag for helping to raise some dough! The more you raise, the more you earn - check out the prizes & awards page.

The team with the most registered members (in-person or virtual) will win the Largest Team Award. 

We want to see your Dunkin' colors for the Best Dressed Costume Contest!  Let your creativity run wild and show your Dunkin' Donuts spirit with pink and orange colors, donut leggings and other donuty fun props.
