I have been associated with BVSPCA since July 2017, having moved to DE from MD a month earlier. I have achieved orange-level status (second only to purple) in caring for cats and kittens. I volunteer once or twice a week and work on socializing the young and not-so-young felines in the Georgetown shelter so that they are ready to find their new furever homes. I also sponsor adoption fees for cats that might have a difficult time being adopted, such as older cats, bonded pairs, or cats with health issues such as FIV. Over the past 2 1/2 years, I have sponsored the fees for 29 cats! I have also sponsored kids' fees for Critter Camp, weeklong day camps that teach children about animals and help them become animal advocates.
