I am running the NYC Marathon with the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation (DFJF) for Autism this coming
November. As many of you may know, my daughter Hanna has special needs and has run on the DFJF
Team for the past three Boston Marathons. The DFJF Team has been exceptionally supportive providing
her coaching and opportunities to grow as a person. NYC will be the sixth marathon that I have run with
Hanna. I need no additional motivation than to see the determination and grit instilled in this young
woman. I have the added pleasure of being joined in running the marathon by my son Ben and my daughter-in-law Mandy for this bucket list event.
In 2021, approximately 1 in 44 children in the U.S. were diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
The DFJF is committed to helping those with ASD live their lives to the greatest possible potential.
Having attended numerous events with this organization, I always marvel at the stories of the hundreds
children and young adults that have benefitted from the many programs funded by the DFJF. Please
consider donating to the DFJF and help support the work of this worthy foundation.

To move a section, click and drag any item to a different part of the page. Hover over the section until you see a grey box show up and then you can let go.
Edit your story. In this text box, you can delete all of this wording and tell donors about why you are running the 2022 NYC Marathon. I suggest dragging an image from your files directly into the content box. Sometimes the “insert image” button can be hard to use.
