In 2017, after breaking several bones for no good reason, my oldest grandson was sent to the doctor. The very hard news that he had Chronic Myeloid Leukemia was very difficult to hear. The amazing ASK team went into action within hours of diagnosis, and have been there as a support for my daughter and her family ever since.
Andrew has been in complete remission since early 2018, with the help of a targeted cancer drug he takes once a day. He is a thriving teenage boy who appropriately drives his parents a little bit crazy at times!
