Hello friends!! I recently joined the Board of On Eagles Wings, an NC non-profit with a mission to prevent children and youth from falling victim to sex trafficking. On Eagles Wings is also a safe-house for young girls who have been rescued from the heinous crime of sex slavery. Each year, residents of Charlotte join OEW and JOY International as we walk a mile together in celebration of the freedom and healing that has taken place over the past year while raising funds to support work in the year ahead. The walk is called the Barefoot Mile in honor of Dr. Jeff Brodsky, who has been barefoot in solidarity with trafficked children since 2010. Every participant is free to walk with or without shoes. Most importantly, we walk with a heart for those we seek to help.
