This is a Fundraiser for CASA house. I am asking everyone to please donate so CASA can do more outreach into your communities!! The numbers of youth in crisis is very scary and sits very close to my heart. I know first hand there is NOT the help/support/programs not funding for even the youth who are seeking it out desperately !! It’s Critical they feel seen and heard. The horses do this naturally every day for them. Reminder : most who overcome addiction trauma and learn to live with mental health struggles in a positive way are the ones reaching out to help youth in the future.
I am participating in Emily's Memorial Horse Show in support of CASA Mental Health. Funds raised through this event will support the CASA House Program. CASA House is a live-in program for teens age 13-17 who need support with significant mental health and/or addiction challenges. These youth have not responded as expected to previous therapy.
The program serves youth with various needs including severe mental health challenges, addictions issues, complex learning needs, family problems or social issues. Teens stay at CASA House for an average of four months.
About CASA Mental Health
CASA is an established non-profit organization delivering mental health services to Albertans aged three to 18 and their families. CASA provides mental health service to the missing middle – mental health treatment for diagnosed children and youth, in between prevention and promotion in primary and community care, and acute treatment in hospital.
CASA Mental Health’s team of mental health professionals are trauma experts committed to delivering service in collaboration with community partners and offering hope to children, youth and families throughout Alberta. This includes assessment and treatment for up to 4,000 children, youth and their families each year, from community outreach settings to intensive treatment programs.
