Emotions Matter 2023 Annual Appeal
Your support allowed Emotions Matter to disrupt BPD stigma on a national level through legislation, and be recognized internationally for our innovative peer programs. Because of you, more than 2,200 people with lived experience found support on the recovery journey.

Let me tell you how you inspired Lara from Illinois. Lara is 24 years old, and advocated for the State House in Illinois to pass a Resolution declaring May BPD Month. "Telling my story to politicians terrified me at first, but my ability to impact thousands of lives in the state of Illinois motivated me to conquer my fears. Their empathy for my story and overwhelming support for the resolution was worth it!"
Let me tell you how you empowered Scott from Pennsylvania. "Being a BPD peer group facilitator with Emotions Matter has helped me gain a new understanding of myself. It has not only saved my life, but also allowed me to feel hopeful and confident in my recovery.
Let me tell you how you empowered Andre from New York. “To me Emotions Matters represent a long-awaited sense of comradery. To have dialogue with those with lived experiences and to have the chance to share myself in a safe space gives me some much solace. I yearned to be understood for the longest while and now I have found a space, and it is right where I belong.”
We need $100,000 by Dec. 31st to help more people like Lara, Scott and Andre.
Will you help us by making a gift to our 2023 Holiday Appeal?
Your gift will help Emotions Matter continue to be able to offer BPD Peer Support programs and educational resources at low or no cost to the community.
We invite you to make a donation, form a fundraising team, or invite others to make a gift to support our life-saving work for people with BPD.
On behalf of our board of directors, we thank you in advance for your generosity. We are excited about what the future holds, and we can only grow through your partnership.
Warmest wishes to you and your family for the holiday season!
