The NJ Promise Walk for Preeclamspia, representing all counties in NJ, will take place on June 24th, 2023 at Mercer County Park and we would love to have the support of your organization. Every year I share my story, seek community sponsors, and walk in memory of my daughter, Charlotte, who was stillborn on 9/7/14 due to complications from Preeclampsia.
Preeclampsia is a life threatening disorder of pregnancy that affects 300,000 women each year. The Preeclampsia foundation’s mission is to save the lives of moms and babies by providing educational materials to expecting families and healthcare providers, leading research to find a cause or a cure, and leading political change to reduce maternal mortality. I became involved with the Preeclampsia foundation in 2014 after the loss of my daughter, Charlotte. Charlotte had to be born early, before she could survive on her own, due to complications from Preeclampsia endangering both of our lives. Through my advocacy and involvement, I have transitioned from participant, to volunteer, to assistant coordinator, and currently, the walk chair, all as a way of honoring Charlotte’s memory.
Thanks to community sponsors like yourself, over the past twelve years, our walk alone has raised $100,000 for the Preeclampsia Foundation. I know that times have been tough the past several years for businesses and organizations such as yourself; however, preeclampsia has not stopped impacting families during this time and in many ways, the pandemic has led to more challenges for women seeking health services. I am currently seeking organizations to partner with us at the Giving Promise level to help save the lives of moms and babies. In appreciation of your support, your organization would receive the following benefits: logo on the National walk shirts, logo and link on our local Promise walk page, a table and company banner at the walk, and much more!
