Why I Walk

Last year, my sister began experiencing complications with her pregnancy when she was just 22 weeks pregnant. On June 26, 2022, my sweet nephew entered this world at 22 weeks unable to take his first breath. I not only mourned the loss of Arvo, but also mourned all of the possibilities and experiences I would have had with him as his Aunt. I mourned the trips to the zoo and aquarium that we wouldn't be able to take. I mourned the clothes and toys I would have spoiled him with for his birthdays. I mourned not being able to watch him grow older and bigger each year. 

I walk for Arvo and all of the other angel babies. I walk for the 1 out of 1,000 women who experience HELLP syndrome. I walk for the mothers who lose their babies too soon.
