Welcome to CAIR Coalition's Spring for Justice Campaign!
Support CAIR Coalition's Immigration Impact Lab in their ongoing efforts to expand impact litigation in the 3rd and 11th Circuits!
The reality is that DMV residents are being transferred to detention centers in the 3rd and 11th Circuits. This means more of unrepresented immigrants, harsher detention conditions, and unfamiliar immigration judges and court procedures.
But...with your help we can provide the strongest legal representation and build legal precedents. You can support the Immigration Impact Lab (the Lab) in expanding to the 3rd and 11th Circuits!
The Lab develops novel litigation and leverages limited resources for the maximum impact, presenting a unified front to improve the law for all immigrant communities and better protect the due process and liberty rights of immigrants at risk of detention and deportation.
In addition to expanding in the 3rd and 11th Circuits, the Lab's efforts also include:
- Proactive responses to injustices via appeals on issues that have the potential to create better law for our immigrant neighbors and the broader immigrant community.
- Litigation during removal proceedings.
- Robust mentorship of pro bono teams on habeas petitions, to push back against prolonged and unconstitutional detention.
- Technical support for practitioners litigating appeals to advance the quality of representation in the Fourth Circuit.
- Quarterly trainings for private and non-profit immigration and criminal attorneys on Fourth Circuit case law.
