Welcome to my fundraising page! I will be running the Bank of America Chicago Marathon to empower children diagnosed with cancer and help support their families. 

Team One Step supports Camp One Step by Children's Oncology Services, an organization that operates camps and other recreational and educational experiences for children who have been diagnosed with cancer.  One Step Programs aim to cure the spirit by providing an environment of hope, strength, and empowerment. During the pandemic, Camp One Step pivoted to offer virtual camps so now they can serve more children than ever before- even in their hospital beds. 

It's important to me to support local organizations and Camp One Step holds a cherished place in my heart.  We are a family that benefits from Camp One Step's great programs. Veronica attends camp there in the summer and it is one of the highlights of her summer vacation. Initally diagnosed in December 2019, Veronica bravely fought the leukemia battle. When a cancer patient finishes radiation therapy or chemotherapy, it has become a tradition to ring a brass bell to mark the end of their treatment. Veronica proudly rang the bell in April 2022.
