I'm 16 years old and have accumulated over 750 volunteer hours with the BVSPCA. While spending my time there, I have seen first hand how much goes into pets in need.  The organization doesn't just help shelter animals, they help humans too.  They assist with low cost veterinary care, run a pet food pantry for pet owners down on their luck, deliver pet food to home bound seniors, aid in the dreaded owner surrenders, help abused and neglected animals, and so much more.  Please consider donating to this organization I've learned so much from, and be a part of their life saving efforts.
