Bring the whole family to our annual Bark on the Boards block party, held in partnership with Browseabout Books, on Saturday, October 17 at the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand. Register today for a howlin' good time in the name of the animals we love!

This community event celebrates the furry friends in our lives and features entertainment by the Bachelor Boys Band, a DockDogs diving competition, activities for kids, a pet costume contest, yoga with puppies, scores of vendors, and of course, adoptable pets. It also raises essential funds for The Brandywine Valley SPCA to support our life-saving work in Delaware.

ABOUT BRANDYWINE VALLEY SPCA

As the largest animal welfare organization in the region, the Brandywine Valley SPCA helped over 27,000 animals across all of our campuses in 2025, achieving a live release rate of 94%.

In Delaware (America’s first no-kill state), we care for 70% of all shelter animals (over 10,000 animals last year) and perform two-thirds of all spay/neuters (nearly 17,000 in 2025). In addition, we offer low-cost veterinary care and provide safety net services for families in each county (like free shot clinics and pet food pantries). But we could not do all of this (and more) without support from our local communities!


