On Sunday, March 3, 2024 I will participate in the 2024 Chicago Polar Plunge-one of the city's most popular winter fundraising events! I've been plunging onto those icy waters for the past ten years or so. I will unfortunately doing it virtually this year. I am having a knee replacement 3 days before the plunge. The Ortho Surgeon said "no icy waters for you this year".  I am excited to take on the challenge of the Chicago Polar Plunge from my couch  to support thousands of Chicagoans who participate in Special Olympics Chicago/Special Children’s Charities programs. With your support, people with intellectual disabilities have the opportunity to discover new strengths, abilities, and accomplishments.

My brother Kevin participated in the first Special Olympics in 1968. That is him in the picture with his friend Tommy.   It is an amazing organization that helps so many.  Please consider donating to this cause.  Thanks in advance!!
