On Sunday, March 3, 2024 I will participate in the 2024 Chicago Polar Plunge, one of the city's most popular winter fundraising events! I am excited to take on the challenge of the Chicago Polar Plunge and jump into Lake Michigan’s chilly waters to support thousands of Chicagoans who participate in Special Olympics Chicago/Special Children’s Charities programs but specifically highlighting our students in the K-8 Cluster Programs at Corkery School. I have personally witnessed how these programs have given our students with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to discover their strengths, abilities, and accomplishments. I feel very fortunate to be a part of their world where I learn so much about them as well as myself. There is never a dull moment when interacting with these beautiful souls!!
