In my pursuit to NOT be such a corporate asshole and do more volunteer/charity work this year....I will be attending my first Polar Plunge to raise funds for the Special Olympics of Chicago this weekend!
Remember the Ice Bucket Challenge? This is basically that, but instead you jump in the freezing water of Lake Michigan. I've swam in this lake before in August, and it was frigid then, so doing this in March will be absolute torture but HEY it's for a good cause!
Moving to Chicago has truly been the best experience of my life and I'm so unbelievably lucky to feel welcomed and loved by this amazing city. This is my attempt to give back a fraction of what I owe. Please help me reach my donation goal! :)
