Seeing as how this massive event is happening just across the park from us, I finally decided that I had to sign up and be a part of it.
On Sunday, March 3, I will take the next step in my crash course in life as we know it in Chicago as I participate in the 2024 Chicago Polar Plunge. Along with a pile of other crazy souls, I will run my silly self straight on into the chilly waters of Lake Michigan and then run back up to a tent where we'll all cover up our winter bods in towels and such.
The event and donations to my page go to support thousands of Chicagoans who participate in Special Olympics Chicago/Special Children’s Charities programs. With your support, people with intellectual disabilities have the opportunity to discover new strengths, abilities, and accomplishments.
