Q: What is the Forest Hills Foundation for Education (FHFE)?

A: Established in 2008, the FHFE is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit that raises private funds for all Forest Hills School District students and staff. Over the past 15-years, $2.4 million has been raised to provide additional resources and support in areas of health and wellness, access and innovation and STEM experiential programs. Our fundriasing goal this year is $300,000 - largest number to date! Thanks for your support by participating in the FH5K. To learn more click here.  

 

Q: When is the race?

A: Saturday, May 11 at 8:30am

 

Q: Where is the race? 

A: The FH5K will start at Nagel Middle School. Upon leaving the Nagel parking lot, turn right onto Nagel Road towards Clough Pike. The course will turn around at Clough and head back down Nagel and then turn right on State Road. Turn around at Wolfangel Road and head back to Nagel Middle School. 

 

Q: Where do I pick up my race packet?

A: Packet pick-up will be at Nagel Middle School smal gym on Friday, May 10, 3:30-7:30pm. You may also pick up starting at 7 am on race day. Park in front of Nagel and follow signs to packet pick up.

 

Q: When does online registation close?

A: Online registration will close on May 10 at 8pm.

 

Q: Can I register the day of the event? 

A: Yes. You can register in-person at Nagel starting at 7am.

 

Q: Why should I get involved? 

A: This is the 15th annual FH5K and one of the largest Anderson community events. There are many ways for you to get involved.

  • Run and/or walk the race course
  • Create an individual or team fundraising page to support FHSD students.
  • In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, make a donation to support wellness initiatives. The Foundation supports a full-time Child Focus therapist in the district and helps provide opportunities for students to connect in and out of the classroom. 
  • Dedicate a gift to your favorite participant and/or team! 
  • Cheer on participants along the course.

Q: How do I get a race shirt?

A: In an effort to keep event registration fees the same while combating the rising costs, t-shirts are optional and available for $2.00. This option must be selected upon registering. Register early to ensure your shirt size. You will pick up your shirt at packet pick up. 

 

Q: If I choose the virtual option will I still receive a bib and race shirt?

A: You will receive a bib to download and print from home. If you registered as "Virtual + T-shirt" you will pick up your shirt at packet pick-up on May 10. 

 

Q: What will I receive as a participant?

A: You will receive a wrist band at the finish line to wear with pride, virtual swag bag full of discounts and access to the FH5K After-Party. In an effort to keep event registration fees the same while combating rising costs, T-shirts are optional and available for $2. This option must be selected upon registering. 

 

Q: Do I have to fundraise?

A: No. You can register as a non-fundraiser participant
