The Alzheimer's Project is a local organization providing services to caregivers of those living with dementia or Alzheimer's Disease and to their loved ones. Services include caregiver support groups, facility based respite or "social clubs", education and training and other helpful services. Alzheimer's Project serves then Big Bend area.
The goal of the organization is to keep caregivers, healthier, both physically and emotionally, to prolong the abilities of caregivers and to provide a respectful and dignified quality of life for those living with the disease.
The Forget-Me-Not Walk and Cliff Hinkle Round to Remember are ways to honor caregivers and those currently living with the disease and to celebrate the memory of those who have gone before us.
